About the Latvian Stevedoring Companies Association

The Latvian Stevedoring Companies Association unites the leading cargo handling companies operating in the ports of Riga, Ventspils, and Liepaja. Currently, the association comprises 12 member companies, responsible for more than 90% of all cargo handled at Latvian ports. The association’s mission is to represent its members’ interests before public authorities, foster sectoral development, and strengthen the competitiveness of Latvian ports in the Baltic Sea region.

Scope of Cooperation

The memorandum provides for closer cooperation in the exchange of information on logistics opportunities between Latvia and Uzbekistan, including cargo transit through Latvian ports, simplification of customs and transit procedures, and the development of new logistics solutions for entrepreneurs in both countries.

The Chamber and the Association will jointly organize informative events, business networking missions, and facilitate contacts between logistics sector participants from Latvia and Uzbekistan. The cooperation also includes advisory support for companies interested in developing transit operations or establishing export/import activities between the two countries.

This memorandum marks an important step in advancing practical cooperation and strengthening mutual economic ties, particularly in the strategic field of transit and logistics.
